{Stuffed Peppers}

I love my mom's stuffed peppers, and it is still one of my favorite dishes that she makes. I whipped them up tonight, and I would love for you to give them a try! :)
Ingredients:

6 medium green peppers
1 pound ground beef
⅓ cup chopped onion
1 1-pound can tomatoes
½ cup long-grain rice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 ounces sharp American cheese

Directions:

Cut off tops of peppers; remove seeds and membrane.

Precook pepper cups in boiling salted water about 5 minutes; drain; Sprinkle inside of cups generously with salt.

Cook ground beef and chopped onion until meat is lightly browned. Season with ½ teaspoon salt and dash pepper. Add tomatoes, ½ cup water, rice, and Worcestershire sauce.

Cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in 4 ounces cheese, shredded (1 cup).

Stuff peppers; stand upright in 10 X 6 X1 ½-inch baking dish.

Bake, uncovered, at 350℉ for 20 to 25 minutes.  Serves 6. Enjoy!!

xoxo,
Katherine
