About

Who I am //

Childhood.  I'm a Southern girl from South Carolina, and I now call Conway my home.  I have loved every minute of my life, and I feel especially lucky to be the daughter of an Army Officer.  I was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and lived in Maryland, Kansas, Georgia, Texas, and California before my dad retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Army.  My childhood as an "Army Brat" was so incredible and special, and I credit those years in my childhood for helping make me the girl I am today.  Following Dad's retirement, we moved to our hometown of Greenville, SC, where I went to middle and high school before becoming a Gamecock.
College.  I'm a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina {Go Cocks!}, and I love all things having to do with my wonderful alma mater.  I live for Fall, Five Points, and Gamecock Football, and I'll always be thankful for my time spent on the beautiful USC campus...It is there that I met and fell in love with my handsome husband, Forrest.
Marriage.  After completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees at USC in Sport & Entertainment Management, I parted ways with Columbia to make the coast my new nest.  Soon after moving to the beach, Forrest popped the question and the whirlwind of wedding fun began.  We had our "Big, Fat, Greek Wedding" in my hometown of Greenville, SC on January 17, 2009, and I still remember that fairytale night like it was yesterday...Everything was perfect, and we lived each moment to the fullest.  I love being Greek {& it's true...they sure know how to party!}, and I feel blessed and privileged to have been born into the most amazing {Greek} family a girl could ask for.  I was so happy to introduce Forrest to our Greek heritage and traditions, and, although my name may have changed, I will forever and always be proud to be a "Leventis"!
Motherhood.  After settling in to my new life as a wife, I began brainstorming on ways that I could keep our families up-to-date on our married life as well as keep track of all of our exciting personal adventures, and thus the blog was born.  My daily blog research soon became an addiction, and before I knew it, I was hooked.  My blog has now become such a happy place for me to connect with new friends, fellow mothers, and to capture the special moments with my family of 4!!

What’s in a name //
Kate + Levi…Those words have such special meaning to me, and I instantly knew that a combination of the two would be the perfect name for my rebranded blog.

Kate - Short for Katherine…The proud name of my Grandmother, myself, and my beautiful daughter.

Levi - Short for Leventis…My family name, and one I feel honored, blessed, and lucky to hold.  My Dad always says “There’s nothing a Leventis can’t do”, and that’s true!!
